Etched PTFE Film
PTFE is an amazing non-stick material, but what about when you need to glue it to the surface of another material ? A process called “etching” is required in order to bond standard PTFE to another surface such as stainless steel, rubber and other material. Among many etching treatment methods, sodium naphthalene treatment has outstanding advantages.
The carbon-carbon bonds tightly surrounded by the fluorine atoms inside thepolytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) molecule, which leads to a high stability and non-adhesion feature of PTFE molecule. General pressure-sensitive adhesive is hard to bond well on its surface for PTFE in large area and high-intensity. The sodium naphthalene treatment on the PTFE surface increases its polarity and surface tension, thereby obtaining an activated PTFE surface that enables it to adhere to metals, non-metals and other plastics.

(6)Produce all kinds of PTFE (profiled. Molded parts)

Notes:
Etched surfaces will discolor to a brown appearance.
